Used in Trolldom and a wonderful alternative to palo santo with roots in Nordic folk magic to cleanse a space, yourself, and for use during rituals.

Pine tarwood

Light one end so that it smokes, but doesn't become a fire. use the smoke to cleanse your space.
Always watch anything that is burning. Tarwood can burst into fire quickly so be careful.
