Description:

This workshop uses tarot as a creative lens to explore personal storytelling, drawing inspiration from the cards to deepen both writing practice and self-understanding. By uncovering the stories within the tarot deck, participants will gain insights into their own narratives and learn how to use tarot to cultivate a writing practice.

Bio:

Ky Gerbush is a nonfiction writer, whose work focuses on social issues and their personal impacts. A published essayist, Ky focuses on exploring the often-overlooked laws that deeply shape our lives. Her recent essay, Pee is for Pregnant, delves into the profound effects of Roe v. Wade on three generations of her family.

Ky is a passionate educator with a Master’s in Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. She teaches writing using the Writing to Heal methodology—a craft-based approach that helps students express their experiences through writing, without centering solely on the experiences themselves. This method, while not therapy, empowers writers to find therapeutic benefits through the art of storytelling and reflection.

Ky lives in the Berkshires with her husband, two cats, and a vibrant garden full of trees and roses.
